The 20th are a quickly growing Scout Group based in the Coldside/Hilltown area of Dundee – we meet weekly during term time in the hall of Ss Peter and Paul’s RC Primary School. We are part of a global Scouting movement, with some 28 million members worldwide and are open to all. If you have any questions about us, please don’t hesitate to contact one of the leadership team (details below).

We have three sections based on different age ranges, they are:
Beaver Colony: Beavers are aged between 6 and 8, and meet on a Tuesday night between 6.15pm and 7.30pm
Cub Pack: Cubs are aged between 8 and 10½, and meet on a Wednesday night between 6.15pm and 7.45pm
Scout Troop: Scouts are aged between 10½ and 14, and meet on a Wednesday night between 8pm and 9.30pm

Explorer Scouts (aged 14 to 18) are welcome to come along to assist in any of our three sections as Young Leaders
Scout Network members (aged 18 to 25) are welcome to be full adult leaders in our Group.
For both Explorers and Networkers, this is usually in addition to their membership of an Explorer Unit or Scout Network.

Group Appointments

We are in the process of looking to set up a Group Executive. The role of the Executive is to support the Group Scout Leader in meeting the responsibilities of their appointment, and is responsible for:
• the maintenance of the Group’s property and equipment
• the raising of funds and the administration of the Group’s finance
• the insurance of persons, property and equipment
• Group public occasions
• assisting with the recruitment of Leaders and other adult support.

The Executive should be composed of both Scouting people and non-Scouting people -usually parents or other local people wishing to support the Group. The Scouting appointments on the Executive are the Group Scout Leader and each Sectional Leader. The Group Scout Leader appoints a Chairperson who proceeds over the election of a Secretary, Treasurer and any other appointments we feel would be useful, such as a Quartermaster or Webmaster.
